The Problem

Africa has one-quarter of the worlds disease burden but has only 2% of the world’s doctors. This makes healthcare largely inaccessible, unaffordable and inconvenient for most individuals especially in poor communities as they have to travel long distances to get to a healthcare facility or to get access to a physician. Most patients with minor health issues wish they could have access to a physician for medical advice and consultation through their mobile devices.

Our Solution

We provide a platform through our network of doctors and partners for patients to reach out to doctor in real time through regular text messages and phone calls. Patients with an internet connection can consult a doctor online here.

Mobile devices and technology have been particularly helpful where infrastructure and personnel are limited. Therefore, in addition to the standard practice of a patient leaving his/her home to visit the hospital, we are providing additional healthcare services online so that patients can have access to healthcare from the comforts of their home. This will improve overall access to healthcare as physicians will be freed up to attend to patients who require physical consultation.

We are building partnerships with pharmacies which will eventually enable us to use our Motorcycle relief to get prescriptions to patients doorstep after an online consultation.
